Resistance alloys

Isabellenhütte produces a wide range of electrical resistance alloys with a variety of standard and custom cross-sections according to national and international standards.
Depending on the customers requirements, we supply the precision resistance alloys in the form of wire, braided strands, flat wire, bands and sheets as well as foil material.

Our resistance materials are used both for the production of electrical resistors and potentiometers in the automobile industry and consumer electronics as well as in the fields of testing, automation and control.
Exemplary applications are heating cables (underfloor heating, roof gutter heating), resistance wires (PE-fitting welding), heating cords (bed warmer), heat plugs, temperature sensors, welding wires and many more.

As an additional customer service and to ensure our standard of quality, we operate a calibration laboratory within the German Calibration Service (DKD).
The calibration laboratory (DKD Laboratory) is accredited for electrical (resistance, voltage) and thermal (temperature) measurements by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt in Berlin and Brunswick (PTB) and is subjected to their continuous inspection.

The chemical and physical properties of our alloys are ensured through modern measuring and analysis systems. Among others, these include: optical emission spectrometer, surface electron microscope (SEM), EDX analyzer, laser micrometer on drawing and testing machines, elongation tester as well as length and hardness test devices.
