Thermoelectric alloys

Thermocouples are the most widespread temperature measuring sensors. They are available internationally standardized and are distinguished through simple handling and a relative insensitivity with regard to rough industrial usage.

Delivery program

Isabellenhütte produces semi-finished products for the manufacture of all internationally standardized non-precious-metal thermocouples materials as well as thermoelectric- and compensating line materials for all known precious and non-precious-metal thermocouples materials.


We supply wires, stranded wires, bands, flat wires, rods and tubes for the manufacture of thermoelectric temperature measuring equipment. The melting of our alloys takes place largely in induction and vacuum induction (VIDP) furnaces. Amongst other things, our materials are used for the production of: thermocouples, mineral-insulated thermocouples, dip sensors, Quick Cups for the determination of carbon in liquid cast-iron melts, trailing thermocouples, pilot light fuses, plug connectors, metallic Peltier elements.

Isabellenhütte produces according to nationally and internationally recognized standards for thermoelectric materials including the tolerances specified therein. We are specialized in custom tolerances and individual requirements of our customers. We would be happy to advise you.
Included in our delivery program are semi-finished products for the manufacture of the following thermocouples and their thermoelectric lines:

The range of sizes that can be supplied can be found on the data sheets of the various alloys. We place great value on the perfect shipment of our goods. We guarantee this through our many years of experience in the optimum packaging of our semi-finished products.

Calibration laboratory

As an additional customer service and in order to secure our standard of quality, we operate a calibration laboratory within the German Calibration Service, the measuring standards of which are subjected to continuous repeat inspections by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Berlin and Brunswick. This calibration laboratory (registration number DKD-K-03101) is accredited for thermal (temperature) and electrical (resistance, voltage) measurable quantities. All temperature and thermoelectric voltage measurements conducted by Isabellenhütte can therefore be traced back to the PTB.
Physical metal laboratoryThe chemical and physical properties of our alloys are determined through modern measuring and analysis systems. Included among these are for example analysis automat, REM, EDX analysis, laser micrometer on drawing and testing machines, tensile test machine and hardness test equipment.
