Copper is frequently used as an electrical conductor. Its disadvantage, however, is its low tensile strength, low mechanical hardness and limited reverse bending capability.
That is why higher quality materials are required to optimize conductor cross-sections. Our materials for ISA-CON® wires are characterized, for example, by the absorption of very high tensile loads as well as by high alternating loads with live contacts.
The high electrical conductivity with mechanically optimized properties is to be highlighted in particular. The ISA-CON® family offers different property combinations for an individual adaptation to the desired application.
- Electrical conductivity up to 85 % IACS
- Mechanical strength up to 900 MPa
- The characteristics of the materials are also retained, even in long-term use and high temperatures
